Aterion Acquires Svensk Linjebesiktning
The acquisition adds deep expertise in inspection, condition assessment, and preventive maintenance of power and communication networks, further broadening Aterion’s service offering to grid owners.
Svensk Linjebesiktning has been a trusted inspection partner to Swedish network owners since the mid-1980s and is fully specialized in inspection services. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and reliability, the company supports customers nationwide in securing operations, preventing faults, and ensuring comprehensive insight into the condition of their power and communication networks. The service offering includes aerial inspections using helicopters, drones, and advanced camera systems for efficient coverage of long line sections, as well as ground-based inspections of poles, overhead lines, grounding systems, substations, and cabinets. Svensk Linjebesiktning also leads the development of advanced inspection methods, including corona inspection for early detection of defects in substations.
